Household municipal waste, and demolition debris accepted.
Asbestos, other non-hazardous waste accepted subject to IEPA approval. Hazardous waste and propane tanks are not accepted.

Municipal solid waste, demolition/construction debris, and asbestos are accepted. Non-hazardous special waste, such as industrial process waste and contaminated soils are accepted on a pre-approval basis. Illinois non-hazardous waste landfills are not allowed to accept hazardous waste, whole tires, white goods, or materials containing free liquids.

Compost: Upper Rock Island County Landfill has a compost facility for yard waste grass clippings, brush, and tree limbs. The grinder has a 3" diameter capability.

Recycling: The Materials Recycling Facility located at Upper Rock Island County Landfill accepts fiber recyclables and commingled recyclables on a fee basis. Commingled recyclables include glass, aluminum, and plastic container.
