Definitions

Bulky Waste
Large items that cannot go in garbage cans or bags for regular garbage collection, such as couches, chairs and tables.

White Goods/Appliances
White goods are generally larger appliances that cannot go into garbage cans or bags for regular garbage collection. These items are banned by the State of Illinois from disposal in a landfill.

Examples of white goods are: refrigerators, ranges, water heaters, air conditioners, clothes dryers, chillers, furnaces, and boilers. White goods are not T.V.'s, hand held appliances, VCR's, garbage disposals, business equipment, computers, furniture and microwave ovens.

Yard/Landscape Waste
Grass or shrubbery cuttings, leaves, tree limbs and other materials accumulated as the result of the care of lawns, shrubbery, vines, and trees.
